TIME TO GET FESTIVE CHARLESTON
Festival season is almost here! Break out your sundresses and flip flops. Time to soak in the sun and bask in the fresh air at two of Charleston’s best outdoor music events of the season.
PARTY AT THE POINT
WHAT: Party at the Point is entering its 15th year of it’s “premier happy hour concert series”. Ear For Music is proud to be a partner in this event and we are thrilled about the 2015 season and lineup. Party at the Point appeals to all ages and is a family friendly event - so come one come all. Join us at the scenic Charleston Harbor Resort to unwind from the hectic week and get your weekend started right.
WHERE: Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, 20 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW: Parking fills up quickly at the resort but there is plenty of parking along Patriots Point Road and you can enjoy a nice walk to the resort. Purchase tickets for food and drinks so bring cash or you can use the ATM there. Doors open at 5:30 and the event goes until 9:30.
WHO: We have a great lineup for the upcoming season.
FIRST FLUSH FESTIVAL
WHAT: First Flush Festival is the annual celebration of the first tea leaf harvest of the season at the only tea plantation in North America, the Charleston Tea Plantation. This is a family friendly event featuring a special kids area “To Be A Kid Again” with children’s activities and music. Food Trucks, beverages galore, and an Artisans Market will all be on site.
WHERE: Charleston Tea Plantation, Wadmalaw Island, SC.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW: Tickets range from $45 for General Admission to $500 for Rock Star. A new addition this year is the Private Gazebo Upgrade. WHO: The 2015 festival features Sheryl Crow and supporting acts such as Stop Light Observations, Dangermuffin, Ben Fagan and The Holy City Hoolagins, Tyler Boone Band, The Tarlatans, Dead 27’S, Haley Mae Campbell, Freeway Music Showcase, plus more special guests and more bands to be announced.
