Guilt Ridden Troubadour

Guilt Ridden Troubadour is an Americana / Roots / Rock band from Charleston, South Carolina created by lead vocalist and guitarist Reid Stone.

Reid Stone hails from Oxford, Mississippi, where he played and toured with Daybreakdown, a jammy Americana band until 2007. After moving to Charleston in January 2008 and taking a brief respite from playing, he began to play local bar gigs and soon reignited his passion for music by teaming up with Mac Leaphart of My Ragged Company. In 2010, Stone became their guitarist and singer, and toured with them while keeping up his solo appearances around Charleston under the name Guilt Ridden Troubadour.

In the summer of 2011, he took his solo work to the next step to Mantis Studios, and recorded a few songs in collaboration with bandmates and musician friends. After putting his album on hold for a couple years (Stone became a father to a baby boy, Jackson), he finished the album in 2013 with Jeff Davis on guitar, Whitt Algar on organ, John Picard on drums, Wilson Pippin on bass, and Cary Ann Hearst as guest vocalist on three tracks.

Catch them every Thursday at The Southern in Mt Pleasant, and stay tuned for upcoming shows and tours.
