Emily Curtis is a Low Country girl born and raised in Mount Pleasant, SC. Music has always been the focal point of her life as she grew up watching her dad perform around the Charleston area. With the soulful vibe of R&B/Pop combined with a subtle southern sound, Emily has a unique style that is all her own, creating music with melodies that are as soul grabbing as her lyrics. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of the USC Cocktails female a cappella group, she began pursuing her solo artist career playing all over the Charleston area. Since then she has been writing original music and has performed for various events and in local Charleston hotspots as well as venues in Columbia, SC. She is currently in the process of recording her very first five song EP with Hybrid Audio Solutions in Charleston, and was recently chosen as a finalist in the Great American Song contest for her song ‘She is More’, written for her mother. Emily Curtis is on a mission to share her heart with her audience in a way that is both authentic and hopeful, while staying true to her Charleston roots.
